Ectopic thyroid tissue is a result of abnormal migration of thyroid tissue during the embryonic state. Most of these rare cases, almost 90% of them, are located in the base of the tongue and a minority of them are located anteriorly near the hyoid bone area. We report the case of a young patient with an intracardiac mass first diagnosed with three-dimensional echocardiography and after successfully being treated surgically.
