George Kunz is a retired professor of psychology from Seattle University where he taught from 1971 to 2012. Ph.D. 1975, Duquesne University. Department Chair from 1975 to 1981, when he founded the MA program in Existential-Phenomenological Therapeutic Psychology with Steen Halling in 1981. Inaugurated in 2003 and directs the annual Psychology for the Other Seminar, a small conference of therapists and psychologists on the relevance of Emmanuel Levinas in Psychology. Publications The Paradox of Power and Weakness: Levinas and an alternative paradigm for psychology, SUNY Press: 1998, and numerous articles and conference presentations, mostly on the contribution of Emmanuel Levinas to psychology.
