Abstract

A case of sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease is described occurring in a 68 year old woman presenting with rapidly progressive mental status decline. A current review of the imaging features of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease is presented focusing on the increasing role of magnetic resonance imaging in establishing the diagnosis of this condition.
