Abstract

Listeria monocytogenes has emerged as an important food-borne pathogen. We describe a case of cervical adenitis due to L. monocytogenes in a patient with a previous history of diabetes. The infection was successfully treated with surgical drainage and antibiotic therapy with ampicillin and gentamicin.
