Abstract

Time-resolved photoluminescence spectra of diamond films and synthetic diamond powders are measured under pulsed UV laser excitation at time delays in the range 0–50 ns. The results are compared with the photoluminescence spectra of synthetic and natural diamond single crystals. The luminescence decay time is determined for the diamond films and ultrafine diamond.
