Abstract

The present study has confirmed the usefulness of a cineangiographic measurement of the pulmonary valve orifice diameter by comparing this method with the hemodynamic technique. The angiographic method has greater applicability since the sizes of the valve orifice, valve annulus, and right ventricular outflow tract can be observed directly. Like the hemodynamic calculations, however, it tends to predict a smaller valve orifice than a direct measurement at the time of operation.
