Abstract

A questionnaire measuring the experience factors Discomfort, Worry, Risk, Effect, and Inconvenience when wearing seat belts was administered to 526 car owners who were from the same population for which the questionnaire had been constructed (G. Fhaner and M. Hane, 1974). A comparison of the groups indicated that the law of compulsory seat belt use had generally brought about more positive opinions regarding use of seat belts.
