Are the measures of neurologic status that are used in adults who have had a cerebrovascular accident valid in predicting functional independence?

Review question/objective:

More specifically, the objective of this review is to assess the predictive validity of functional independence of the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale and the Canadian Neurological Scale.
