Abstract

R. W. Wildman and R. W. Wildman, Jr.‘s (see record 1977-24667-001) contention as to the validity of the Verbal Scale IQ as a WAIS short form is shown to be based on an inappropriate analysis of their data. Upon reanalysis, the claim for validity is unsupported on the basis of original criteria. Results are presented that also fail to support the validity of the Verbal IQ as a short form measure.
