Abstract

Examined the relationship between repression-sensitization (R-S) as assessed by the Revised Repression-Sensitization Scale and visits to a prison infirmary for 90 males during a 1-yr period. The main effect for the R-S dimension was significant for (a) total number of visits, (b) number of medically justified visits, and (c) number of medically unjustified visits. In each instance, sensitizers had significantly more visits than repressors. (5 ref) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
