PURPOSE/QUESTION

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the analgesic and anti-inflammatory efficacy of 2 nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), the selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor drug meloxicam and the nonselective COX-2 inhibitor drug tenoxicam, by using self-related pain scores and the need for rescue-analgesic agents after dental implant surgery.
