Abstract

A two-dimensional model of heat and mass transfer in the process of fractional crystallization on a band is proposed. Algorithms for calculating the concentration of an impurity in a melt have been developed and the impurity distributions in a diffusion layer have been obtained for the cases of linear-profile and wavy-profile crystals on the basis of numerical experiments. It has been established that the impurity distribution is twodimensional in the case of a wavy-profile crystal.
