Abstract

Providing a daily dose of laughter is often the best medicine we can offer our patients, their caregivers and, most importantly, ourselves. Humor creates an environment of healing, which is essential when treating a patient on a daily basis. In this article, the author describes the many uses of humor in intravenous nursing practice and offers suggestions about how humor and laughter can be incorporated into patient care routines
