Abstract

The production of removable dentures from intraoral scans has been problematic. In addition, the digital design and fabrication of a single-arch denture cannot be routinely managed.

The workflow presented provides a proof of concept that an optical intraoral scan of the edentulous maxilla is feasible and that a functional single-arch maxillary denture can be designed and fabricated using a digital protocol.
