Abstract

A case of false aneurysm and damage to the neurovascular bundle as a late complication to excision of a shattered humeral head is described. The authors advocate smoothing of the end of the remaining diaphyseal part of the humerus and, further, that if a swelling in the operative area occurs postoperatively, arteriography should be performed.
