Abstract

Many people with learning disabilities exhibit some form of challenging behaviour. Research has shown that positive behavioural support (PBS) is effective in minimising or replacing these behaviours, but only if PBS strategies are followed correctly. This article provides a literature review to explore reasons why carers sometimes implement them poorly.
