A Noncommutative Regulation of the Schwinger Model

Abstract

We start from a realization of the enveloping algebra 𝒰(u (2|1)) and a sequences of embeddings of su(2) representations. We define the Schwinger model on a noncommutative sphere S2 in this setting, and obtain an ultraviolet regularized model. The effective actions and the chiral anomaly are calculated. Standard results are obtained in the commutative limit.
