Abstract

The vibrational eigenmodes of reinforced shells of rotation with holes are examined. A solution is constructed on the basis of the linear theory of thin elastic shells using the Ritz method. Results are presented from numerical studies of the effect of holes and reinforcements on the eigenmodes and forms of the vibrations. The results are compared with experimental data.
