Abstract

Pneumococcal pneumonia and other adult immunization rates were low at the project site. Understanding factors that contribute to low vaccination rates is imperative to determining the most likely strategy for improvement in any setting. Targeted certified medical assistant education coupled with encouragement and use of an algorithm resulted in increased administration and documentation of vaccines.
