Abstract

This study is a completion of a formal three year audit of a risk assessment process to identify whether it is ‘safe and realistic’ for mothers to use water following previous caesarean section. Ninety-two mothers were initially risk assessed, of whom 80 were then included in the audit. Data are presented for the outcomes for these women on labour onset, delivery mode, analgesia, birth weight and Apgar scores.
