Abstract

Fatigue is common for individuals receiving hemodialysis and can lead to decreased physical Junction, quality of life, and survival. Because fatigue is frequently reported as bothersome, nurses must discover effective ways to assist patients to manage this symptom. The purpose of this systematic review was to examine the effectiveness of non-pharmacologic interventions used to minimize fatigue. Interventions found to significantly reduce fatigue included exercise and Eastern medicine-based therapies.
