To the Editor:We have read the letter from Baguley et al. (2014). Our study investigated the use of the quantum resonance spectrometer to detect psychiatric symptoms. The quantum resonance spectrometer is produced by the Chongqing Tian Ji Quan Quantum Medical Science Development Research Institute (http://www.tjqq.com/). We found that the criticisms mainly concerned the work mechanism of the quantum resonance spectrometer. However, that is the key technology of the quantum resonance spectrometer patented by Chongqing Tian Ji Quan. So, we only got the description of work mechanism provided by Chongqing Tian Ji Quan, which was put in the article. We know only as much as you about the work mechanism of the quantum resonance spectrometer.Our study began in 2006 and continued for approximately 8 years until now. At the beginning, operators were trained to ensure reliable data. Then, because of less-than-ideal inspection items, we asked Chongqing Tian Ji Quan to adjust the quantum resonance spectrometer to improve the sensitivity and specificity. When everything was ready, we started our official test. Our aim was to find an instrument that could objectively detect psychiatric symptoms. The detection rate of psychiatric symptoms was tested in our study and is the clinical application.
