Abstract

Neuroblastoma is one of the commonest malignant tumors of children. It has a sinister reputation because of the rapid development of metastases and frequent resistance to therapy. The incidence of this tumor is highest during the first two years of life and falls rapidly thereafter.

An aggressive, optimistic approach is essential in the treatment of neuroblastoma. Newer therapy protocols are significantly increasing the survival time of these children. The nurse in an important member of the therapy team.
