Abstract

Founded in March 2016, the Respiratory Nurse Research Consortium is a forum for communication and dissemination and a hub of expertise and resources available to anyone interested in respiratory nurse research. It works with the Association of Respiratory Nurse Specialists to promote and facilitate nurse-led and nurse-conducted research relevant to the care of patients with respiratory disease. Its creation offers an example of how nurses can collectively empower fellow nurses to engage in research.
