Abstract

The worst problem with hypertensive patients is that they won't stick to their regimen, right? Right. According to the American Heart Association, only a minority of them have their hypertension under control. Why don't the rest? Well, often because of their medication's side effects, which range from mild dry mouth or fatiqueto severediarrhea or depression. Sometimes patients say they feel worse when they take their medication than when they don't.
