Executive SummaryRecent literature has shown that retention improves as nurses remain comfortable and feel competent in their role.Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, Florida, designed a thorough (and fun) system to meet needs identified by staff, administration, and physicians.Physical assessment updates were provided twice a week to nursing units in a “huddle up” that minimized time and maximized impact.
