Abstract

I'm having a real communication problem with my nurse-manager. Recently, instead of handing me a personal note from the nursing office regarding my baby-sitter problems, she displayed it on the unit's bulletin board for all to see. I was so angry and embarrassed that I wrote her a hostile note. Without saying a word to me, she turned it over to the nursing office. I was formally reprimanded.This isn't the first time she's done this kind of thing. She just refuses to deal with any conflict head-on and in stead opts to play the victim. I'm so frustrated. How should I deal with her?
