Abstract

(Lancet. 2015;386(10006):1845–1852)

Quantification of the risks associated with pregnancy in women with epilepsy, one of the most common chronic disorders affecting women of reproductive age, is important in order to provide patients with appropriate counselling and care. In this study, a systematic review and meta-analysis of the medical literature was undertaken to estimate the association between epilepsy in pregnancy, with or without exposure to antiepileptic drugs, and reproductive outcomes.
