Abstract

(BJOG 2017;124:1575)

The important effect of timing of corticosteroid administration on the likelihood of benefit has been known for a decade. Subsequent studies have examined possible adverse neonatal outcomes after inappropriately timed antenatal corticosteroids, finding evidence of increased likelihood of ventilator support for infants delivered >14 days following steroids.
