Abstract

(Abstracted from Birth 2016;43(2):116–124)

Out-of-hospital births in the United States increased rapidly after 2004. This study aimed to examine trends in out-of-hospital births over the past decade and to analyze recently available data on risk status and access to care for out-of-hospital births, including birth center and planned home births, and to compare them with hospital births.
