Abstract

(Abstracted from Ultrasound Obstet Gynecol 2016;48:285–288)

Prenatal ultrasound has its pros and cons, the pros being an effective means to assess gestational age and to identify fetal anomalies, whereas the cons are the potential risks associated with exposure to ultrasound, especially with increasing exposure times. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is caused by several factors, including infections and toxins.
