The historic standard of care for women with advanced ovarian cancer has been primary cytoreductive surgery followed by adjuvant chemotherapy. In the past decade, however, treatment with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) followed by interval debulking surgery has emerged as an alternative treatment modality for patients with advanced disease.
