Abstract

(Abstracted from Int Urogynecol J 2017; 28:391–396)

Previous studies have shown that seeing or feeling a vaginal bulge is the most specific symptom for identifying pelvic organ prolapse (POP). It has been suggested that the critical point at which bulge symptoms appear in most women is prolapse to or beyond the level of the hymen.
