The increasing use of salpingectomy has been associated with concern over its potential damaging effect on ovarian reserve in premenopausal women wishing to preserve their fertility potential. Among the many markers for ovarian reserve, circulating anti-müllerian hormone (AMH) is considered the most reliable.
