Abstract

Latex allergies and other environmental sensitivities have become increasingly common among health care workers and patients over the past decade. To protect ourselves and our patients, plastic surgical nurses from various practice settings must be knowledgeable about prevention, management, and other issues pertaining to this topic. Articles retrieved from the literature review were expansive. The following selections from the nursing literature address different areas relating to latex and environmental sensitivities.
