Abstract

Mere mention of the Psychology Examination (prepared by the Professional Examination Service [PES] and used by members of the American Association of State Psychology Boards [AASPB] in most states of the Union) has been sufficient to bring tears to the eyes of some and fire to the eyes of others, not to mention a whole gamut of emotion in between to still others. Briefly, the author gives arguments against the currently used national mean, or any similar formulation, as a passing grade on the multiple-choice, nationally used AASPB examination. The author reminds readers that their input is needed in making licensing decisions. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
