Abstract

Empirical evidence has suggested a positive relationship between stress and coronary disease. Because of this relationship, more effective strategies for managing stress are often indicated for cardiac patients. The following article describes the participation of the psychologist as part of a private coronary rehabilitation clinic. The setting, clinical intervention strategies, and problems are discussed.
