Abstract

Originally published in Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books, 1978, Vol 23(11), 834–835. Reviews the book, Alternate States of Consciousness: Multiple Perspectives on the Study of Consciousness edited by Norman E. Zinberg (see record 1978-20362-000). This book presents a collection of 10 conference papers on “high” states of consciousness. All in all, although the book contains some relatively mundane essays, it also contains some very good ones, and it should be available in libraries for students of consciousness.
