Abstract

Originally published in Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books, 1978, Vol 23(12), 1023–1024. Comments on Walter Weimar's review (see record 2006-06383-002) of the book The Philosophy of Karl Popper, Books 1 and 2 edited by Paul Arthur Schilpp (1974). The present author states that his purpose is not primarily to defend Popper's more recent views, but to caution against the careless dismissal of them implicit in Weimer's review. Controversial or not, some of Popper's later ideas may be of even greater interest and relevance to the general psychologist than his earlier works.
