Abstract

Originally published in Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books, 1979, Vol 24(2), 140. Reviews the book, Psychology and education: An introduction by Jerome Kagan and Cynthia Lang (see record 1979-21966-000). This educational psychology text represents a collaborative effort by a psychologist and a professional writer. They also encourage an attitude of skepticism toward commonly held views on intelligence and social class differences. Although the authors have tried to apply theory and research to the realities of teaching, they have declined to write a book containing recipes for teaching.
