Originally published in Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books, 1979, Vol 24(3), 263. Reviews the book, Case studies in clinical and school psychology by Ralph F. Blanco and Joseph G. Rosenfeld (1978). Written collaboratively by a school psychologist and a clinical psychologist, the present volume provides 15 case studies involving a variety of childhood psychological disorders. The case study material is reasonably interesting, covers a good range of problems, and benefits from the authors' attempt to be eclectic in their theoretical perspective. This book might well be useful as supplemental reading in various child-clinical and special education courses. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
