Abstract

Originally published in Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books, 1979, Vol 24(5), 434–435. Reviews the book, How to find out in psychiatry: A guide to sources of mental health information by Bette Greenberg (1978). The broad range of topics in this book, cursorily covered, includes a seven-page narrative summary of psychiatric literature from primitive times to the present, a guide to library; classification systems, primary and secondary sources, dictionaries, and directories. Little information is given about the mass of relevant government documents and reports emerging from the U.S. Government Printing Office. This reference book, by a librarian, will be most useful to librarians. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
