Abstract

Originally published in Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books, 1979, Vol 24(5), 437–438. Reviews the book, A Piaget primer: How a child thinks by Dorothy G. Singer and Tracey A. Revenson (see record 1980-71345-000). This book is a short introduction to Piagetian theory. Too much space in such a short book was devoted to the quotes and comics to illustrate various Piagetian concepts. This book is too oversimplified. It is less detailed and less critical than other available introductions. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
