Originally published in Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books, 1979, Vol 24(8), 670. Lee Sechrest replies to Franz R. Epting's comments (see record 2006-06571-074) on Sechrest's review review (see record 2006-06402-013) of Don Bannister's edited book, New Perspectives in Personal Construct Theory (1977). Sechrest says that perhaps his view is overly pessimistic. Whether one thinks of five training programs offering some work in a theory as a movement or whether one regards the flow of published research articles as a trickle or a torrent is like looking through one or the other end of a telescope. However, he is pleased that there are some psychologists keeping personal constructs theory alive. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
