Abstract

Originally published in Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books, 1979, Vol 24(9), 723. Reviews the books, The collected works of C. G. Jung, Vol 19. General bibliography of C G Jung's writings (Bolhngen series 20) by Liza Ress (1979) and The collected works of C G Jung, Vol. 20: General index. Bolhngen series 20 by Baebara Forryan and Janet M Glover (1979). These two volumes represent the culmination of this series and include a complete bibliography of Jung's publications and an index to the writings contained in the preceding 18 volumes of the series. The General Bibliography is just what it purports to be and undoubtedly will be useful to have about The General Index is largely derived from the indexes of the individual volumes but goes somewhat beyond mere addition and integration. Surely anyone who has the other 18 volumes will wish to have these, and those who have some specialized interest in any aspect of Jung's works may find the index, or even the bibliography, an efficient guide to relevant aspects of Jung's voluminous writings.
