Originally published in Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books, 1994, Vol 39(2), 211. Reviews the book, At-Risk Infants: Interventions, Families, and Research edited by Nicholas J. Anastasiow and Shaul Harel (1993). This is a collection of chapters presented at a continuing series of interdisciplinary workshops (conferences) held in Israel. This book has the same strengths and weakness of other publications that reprint workshop (conference) presentations. The current volume has 16 chapters, 6 in a section titled Interventions, 4 in a Families section, and 6 in a Research section. As with most published proceedings, the chapters reflect considerable diversity in writing style, scholarship, and coverage of specific topics.
