Abstract

The incidence of chemical dependency is growing among persons with serious and persistent mental illness in New Jersey. Members of two Clubhouse model psychosocial programs are experiencing chemical dependency problems increasingly. This article describes the incorporation of programming for chemical dependency issues into two programs, the CLUB in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and the MICA Club in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Some results and reports of the impact of these additions are presented and briefly discussed.
