Abstract

This article describes the Problem History Scale (PHS), a research scale for studying addictions and emotional problems. Data are presented on the reliability and validity of the scale. The PHS is a revision of the scale from which data on the incidence of addictions in a college sample were previously reported (Cook, 1987b). This article also updates and revises the incidence findings based on the revision of the PHS.
