Abstract

As a consequence of a dearth of information in the open literature about drug use in Alaska, many myths abound. This paper presents 10 myths and describes what is known about each of the myths. The conclusions are that there is much drug use in Alaska and that Alaskans, especially Alaskan natives, are at high risk for HIV infection.
