AAOS Appropriate Use Criteria: Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury Prevention Programs

In an effort to assist in the decision-making process in prevention of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) approved the Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) document ACL Injury Prevention Programs to provide guidance about prevention programs for these injuries. The case studies that follow demonstrate the use of the AUC in specific patient care situations.
